What does different variety of food mean? It means the importance of consuming of right types of food which give us essential energy and good health.
Do you know how different kinds of food give us nutrition? The word nutrition is categorised into carbohydrates, protein, vitamins, minerals, etc.
This menu which is planned by the teachers with great care keeping in mind the real value, results in good health and vitality.
In our menu for the week, we have suggested for sprouts, fruits, seasonal vegetables, nuts, while preparing the tiffin; Home made sweets, sabji, wheat flour preparation and many more which make you healthy, strong and keep fit.
We have tried our best to incorporate food from all regions and have given you enough choice so that the children can get variety and food is whole - some.
BUT
Pickles, juices, garlic, onion, biscuits, chocolates, jam, sauce, bread and non-veg. foods are not allowed in the school campus.
Monday: Roti - Sabji / Puri Sabji + Curd Rice (home made) + seasonal fruit (one).
Tuesday: Upma OR Masala Khichadi, Batata Poha / Poha, Dry Bhel + Nuts (like groundnuts ) + Seasonal fruit (one).
Wednesday: Stuffed Paratha (Aalu OR Gobi), Thepla (home made chatni ) + curd (home made) + Seasonal fruit (one).
Thursday: Dhokla / Idli / Batata Vada / Vegetable Samosa + Seasonal fruit (one).
Friday: Sprouts Day: Sprouted pulses, like green gram, moong, chana, etc. boiled and sprinkled with chat masala & lemon + Seasonal fruit (one)
Saturday: Roti Sabji + Mix of Seasonal fruits.
While fasting (like ekadashi, gauri vrat, etc.), children can bring appropriate food (fal-aahar).
Your child may not be allowed to eat the tiffin if it is not brought as per the menu.
